Spark
For when the idea is real but you’re not ready to spend real money on it yet. You get enough to see the business properly — the numbers, the name, the look — before you commit to anything.
Who Spark is for.
I’d rather tell you now than three weeks in. If the right-hand column sounds more like you, click through to the other page — you’ll get a better result and I’d rather sell you the right thing.
Spark is right if…
- You’re still deciding whether the idea works at all
- You want to see the numbers before spending on branding
- You’re starting as a side thing alongside a job
- You want to see your name on something real before committing
- You’re choosing between two or three names
Look elsewhere if…
- You need a website — Spark doesn’t include one
- You’re booking a signwriter in the next month
- You need embroidery-ready artwork for workwear
- You’re applying for a loan or a grant
Everything included, in detail.
No hourly rates, no scope creep, and nothing to pay afterwards.
One-page business plan
Not a forty-page document nobody reads. One page covering what you sell, who buys it, what you charge, what it costs you to run, and how many jobs a week you need to actually make money.
The pricing section is the bit that changes people’s minds. Most people arrive planning to charge too little, and find out here rather than six months in.
Two or three logo concepts
Properly drawn directions, not something run through a generator. Each one is a different idea about what the business is, so you’re choosing between approaches rather than between shades of the same thing.
Presented plainly so you judge the idea rather than the presentation.
Your brand colours and fonts
Exact colour codes and font names on a one-page sheet. So when you make a Facebook page, a business card or a quote template later, everything matches without you having to guess.
Three mockups
Your name on something real — a polo, a sign, a van panel, a shopfront, whichever fits what you do. This is the part that makes it feel like a business rather than an idea.
One round of changes
You come back with what you want adjusted and I do it. One round is enough at this stage — Spark is about direction, not final polish.
What actually lands in your inbox.
Everything by email, usually about a week after the deposit. No portal to log into and nothing that expires.
- Business plan — one page, PDF
- Logo concepts — PDF, high-resolution images
- Brand sheet — colour codes and font names
- Three mockups — high-resolution images
No lock-in, and no monthly bill from me
Your website is handed over as files you own outright, with a plain-English guide showing you exactly how to put it live — hosting it yourself costs around £5 a month, paid to whoever you like. Most agencies keep your site on their hosting so you can never leave. I’d rather you could.
About a week, start to finish.
You’ll never wonder what’s happening or when.
Free 30-minute call
We talk through the idea, who you’re selling to and whether Spark is even the right thing for you. If it isn’t, I’ll say so.
Brief and deposit
A one-page brief listing exactly what’s included and what isn’t. 50% books your slot.
Plan and concepts together
The plan and the logo directions arrive at the same time, so you can see whether the look matches the business the numbers describe.
Your changes
One round, on whichever direction you’ve picked.
Handover
Every file by email. Remaining 50% due. Nothing to pay after that.
The other two packages.

Do I get usable logo files with Spark?
You get high-resolution images of the concepts, which are fine for social media, a document header or showing people. You do not get the full vector set or the separate embroidery version — those come with Launch, because they take real time to produce properly and most people at the Spark stage haven’t settled on a direction yet.
Can I put the Spark logo on my van?
Not straight away. A signwriter needs vector artwork to cut vinyl from, and a garment supplier needs a simplified version for stitching. If a van or workwear is happening within the next month or two, go to Launch — you’ll only end up paying for the finished files separately otherwise.
Can I upgrade to Launch later?
Yes, and you only pay the difference. Nothing gets redone twice — the plan gets expanded and the concept you chose gets taken through to finished artwork. Plenty of people start here deliberately.
What if the plan tells me the idea doesn’t work?
Then it has done its job, and £299 is a cheap way to find that out. It happens, and I’d rather tell you at week one than help you spend two grand looking the part on something that can’t pay for itself.
Do I need a business name already?
No. Plenty of people arrive torn between two or three, or with nothing at all. Working out what fits is part of the first call, and I check the name is actually available before anything gets designed.
How long does Spark take?
About a week from the deposit, depending on how quickly you come back with feedback. Rush delivery is available for 25% more if you’re up against a date.
Want to know if the idea stands up?
Half an hour on the phone, no obligation, and honest advice even if the answer is “not yet”. You’ll get a fixed quote in writing before anything starts.
